Android Operating System

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini runs on the Android operating system, developed in part by Google. Downloadable applications from the Android Market, full customisation and support for Google sevices such as Google Maps, G-Mail and Google Search are all Possible with Android.

Touchscreen

The Xperia X10 features a 2.55 inch touchscreen display providing sharp images and natural colours. Use your fingers to navigate through menus; once you've used a touchscreen phone you'll never look back! The X10 even has a built in accelerometer which automatically rotates the screen to match how the phone is held.

Timescape

Sony Ericsson Timescape is a new user interface that manages all your communication with one person in one place. Browse through your conversations to check out your Facebook, Twitter, photos, emails, and texts all in one go. Start a conversation by SMS Text message and continue it by email; the Xperia X10 Mini gathers all your content in one place making it easy to see whats going on.

Wi-Fi

With Wi-Fi you can use your phone to connect to a local wireless network (W-LAN) to connect to the internet. This offers a cheap (sometimes free) method of connecting to the net to download emails, files, or check on your favourite website.

Music Master!

The Xperia X10 features an impressive music player supporting a host of file formats including AAC and MP3. Store music on the internal memory, expand it further with a memory card and listen to them on the bundled headphones or using your own thanks to the 3.5mm audio jack.

HSDPA

HSDPA offers a similar benefit to a 3G network that GPRS offered to the GSM networks. It offers a higher speed data transfer with a compatible handset such as the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini on Orange. HSDPA is commonly known as Mobile Broadband.

Web Browser

With a built in Web Browser you can access internet sites directly from your handset. Bluetooth 2.1

Bluetooth 2.1 is the next generation of Bluetooth connectivity. With Bluetooth 2.1 one of the biggest advantages is the possibility of listening to music with a compatible wireless headset in stereo. Less wires, less mess, more noise.

GPS

With built in GPS you can use the Xperia Robyn to locate your position, plan your journey, and as a general SatNav device, when used in conjunction with compatible mapping software. You can also Geo-tag photos taken on the X10's camera so you can tell friends where you got that Kodak moment.

A-GPS

A-GPS on the Sony Xperia is a network service that can locate your position to within 100 metres by using a clever technique called triangulation. By sending a signal to three cell masts, A-GPS will work out your location by the location of the cells and your distance from them.
